If Egypt is on your bucket list I say DO IT!!! I did not have any safety issues. The worst part of the visit was all the hard hustling of people trying to make money doing felucca boat rides or trying to show you around.
Egypt's tourism industry was hit hard by the 2010 revolution & all of the bad press. The question you must ask yourself is are you really safe anywhere? Americans are being killed in churches, schools & at country music concerts. So you are just as likely to die at home as you are in Egypt. As with anywhere else in the world you have to keep your wits about you. There are some great people in Egypt but there are also some apples that spoil the bunch.
I wrapped up my Egypt adventure back in Cairo for a day seeing the Egyptian Museum & the Cairo Tower. I thought this was going to be a short tour day but the Egyptian sports clubs elections started this weekend & we sat in traffic near the tower for 2 hours. 😭😩 After the first 30 minutes I told Ehab let's walk. We were able to walk, stand in the tower line, make it to the top, take pictures & when we finished the driver was STILL in traffic. 😭 I dosed off & on in the back seat until we got thru it.
The finale was a nice little dinner at Karma Cafe. #LiveLife #TravelLife #NoFear
