Review: Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette - Awesome Sunrise View
The staff at the Radisson Blu Post Lafayette made this an enjoyable stay. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant. This is a small hotel that has an awesome sunrise view over the ocean. The grounds are serene and relaxing. The rooms are small but very functional. I liked how they offered the under the bed storage container. My room was on the 2nd floor and I loved the fact that I didn’t even have to get out of bed to watch the sunrise in the mornings.
I booked the half board plan which included breakfast and dinner (drinks not included). This is a great option because there is only one little place down the street as an alternative for food if you don’t have a car. The food was good. I preferred Café Nautilus over Aqua 180 because it was a buffet and if you got something you didn’t like you could change to something else. Aqua 180 seemed to be a bit over priced and it was a very limited menu.
You definitely need to rent a car if you plan to move around because taxi service is very expensive on the island. A ten minute taxi ride from their sister hotel cost me Rs500 ($16usd) and the airport service is Rs2300 ($70usd) each way.
